I describe visual arts and culture in audio form, to make them accessible for blind and partially sighted people and for others who want to use audio description for support, convenience or enjoyment.

There is a world of fabulous performance, screen and visual art out there and I want everyone to be able to enjoy it !

I write and voice meaningful descriptions for audiences to;

  • follow the action of a live performance,
  • see a painting in their mind,
  • have supported or enhanced understanding,
  • or simply enjoy an audio interpretation of the piece.

I am a Vice-Chair of the Audio Description Association (ADA). We support and inspire everyone associated with audio description and all it represents.

I work for Derby Audio Describers (DAD) and we offer audio description live in theatres in the East Midlands.

As audiomo, I offer live audio description further afield and also recorded descriptions and online training.
